Position: PR Account Manager

In our quest to expand our business and foster our fast-growing business
space, we are seeking to recruit a suitable person to fill the vacancy
of PR Account Manager. The selected person (male or female) will join
our strong, industrious and dynamic team and is expected to have the
following qualities:
Must be 25-35 years of age
Must be a graduate with a relevant degree in the Arts, Mass
communication or Public Relations. Proven fluency and competence in
writing in both English and Kiswahili will be an added advantage.
More than two years’ experience in work related fields including
journalism (must have worked as a journalist/sub-editor/editor in a
reputable media company in Tanzania).
Experience in working in a reputable PR Agency will be highly preferred.

Job Description:
- The PR Account Manager will be reporting to the company’s Business Development Director and should have the following competencies:
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients’ PR accounts
- Be able to provide strategic counsel to clients to aid their PR and wider marketing campaigns
- Ability to skillfully provide the company’s information to the media (print, electronic and social media).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and decision-making skills
- Evident skills in building relationships with existing and new clients
- Ability to build sustainable relationships with mainstream media contacts
- Proven ability to provide innovative and creative ideas to clients
- A keen eye on PR coverage and ability to provide detailed and accurate written reports within the stipulated deadlines
- Unbridled interest in the art of penning unsolicited articles/stories and features concerning the clients’ activities, projects and events (Proactive communication).
- Good industry knowledge and experience in building influential networks within the public and private sectors.
