EngenderHealth Tanzania is
seeking expressions of interest from highly qualified candidates for
the HMIS Advisor Position of an anticipated DFID funded programme -
Scaling Up Family Planning in Tanzania. This 5-year programme aims to
scale up access to FP in rural and urban areas, enabling women to safely
plan their pregnancies and improve their sexual and reproductive health
and rights. The programme will integrate a comprehensive range of
services including care for victims of sexual violence and post-abortion
care and will seek innovative ways to reach people with disabilities,
refugees and young people with family planning (FP) services.

Position Descriptions:
Regional Programme Officer will report
to the Zonal Team leader and provide technical expertise in the area of
FP/RH and project management. The officer will work with field outreach
teams to provide administrative and program support in the
implementation of the supported programs in Tanzania. The overall
responsibilities will include provision of assistance and support in a
variety of technical areas such as training, informed choice, family
planning, post abortion care and medical quality assurance.
Key Qualifications:
- A degree in Health (physician or) and/or Public Health qualification
- At least a Medical Officer or Assistant Medical Officer Training
- Four years of experience in health or family planning programs especially in programming, development and management of reproductive health and family planning programs
- At least 3 years of experience working with NGOs in planning, designing, budgeting, managing, supervising, evaluating and documenting health programs
- Experience in sterilization, PAC and clinical training
Essential Soft Skills
- Self-starter
- Able to achieve results in collaboration with own and other teams
- Ability to drive results with limited supervision
- People oriented
