Jhpiego is implementing a number of projects in Tanzania and wishes to recruit the following positions:
Health Informatics Officer – Systems Analyst & Developer based in Mwanza
Position Overview:
The position holder will provide technical expertise in analyzing business processes involved in the pursuit of USAID Boresha Afya project objectives for the purpose of defining digital health solutions that should be brought to bear. It requires strong business skills and would be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and occasionally modifying systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing digital health systems. The position will also be responsible for documentation to describe custom configuration of digital health systems and operating procedures and a working knowledge of relational databases, m-health development, web, and client-server concepts.

Health Informatics Officer – Systems Analyst & Developer based in Mwanza
Position Overview:

Required Qualifications:
- At least a degree related to computer science or software development.
- Must have field experience, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience providing technical assistance for ICT interventions, preferably Health Information systems.
- Experience in business processes modeling and requirements analysis for data systems development
- Experience in deployment of large-scale data collection systems preferably in rural settings
- Competent in the use of ICT to support one or more of the following
- Health systems development and strengthening
- Health care services delivery
- Performance and quality improvement/assurance
- Training, supporting and supervising health care workers
- Behavior change communication
- Mathematical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
- Programming languages such as C#, C++, PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript and Java
- Working knowledge or relational databases, mobile apps, we and client-server concepts
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- An understanding of the latest trends and their effect
- Teamwork skills
- Self-development skills to keep up to date with fast-changing trends
