Role purpose:
• The Agile Coach is responsible for leading and evangelizing the organization wide agile transformation, motivating and energizing the organization through employment of agile technique

This role is responsible for driving and supporting the adoption of an
agile mind set, methodologies, and behaviors in all members of the
organization
•
This role is responsible for working closely with key agile team
members, such as the Agile Program Manager, Scrum Masters, Product
Owners, and Product Managers to establish consistent and best-practice
agile processes and principles
•
This role is responsible for defining agile adoption and performance
metrics, monitoring and assessing them regularly, and identifying areas
for improvement
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
• Evangelize the organization wide agile transformation and guide the organisation through its agile journey and maturity
•
Define and refine organization’s agile principles, practices, standards
and ceremonies, according to both best practice and enterprise goals
•
Mentor and coach all levels of the organization on agile principles,
practices, roles, artefacts and ceremonies to maintain consistency of
adoption and continuously improve performance
•
Define agile adoption measurements and evaluate and report the
performance and adherence of the organization on a regular basis
• Act as a catalyst to seed emerging practices& knowledge from one team to another
Core competencies, knowledge and experience [max 5]:
• Trusted and respected as a thought leader and change agent who can influence and persuade business and IT leaders
•
Natural “servant” leader, with the ability to develop and communicate
the objectives, inspire, coach, and motivate staff, and maintain
alignment with the business outcome vision
• Ability to continue to monitor, learn, and implement industry best practices from the agile community
•
A high degree of apolitical sensitivity, with effective persuasion,
negotiation, and dependency resolution skills, both within and outside
the domain
•
Strong business acumen, including with an in-depth understanding of the
contribution of the domain or business outcome to the wider digital
business strategy and roadmap
•
Ability to contextualise the wider business and financial goals to the
domain and make decisions, prioritization, and recommendations
accordingly
• Excellent collaboration skills
• Strong time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple balls
• Agile software development environment and methods such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, TDD and BDD
• Scaled Agile experiences and expertise in frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, DAD or Spotify
• Agile ceremonies, tools, and artefacts e.g. retrospectives, demos, increment planning, information radiators
• User story definition and team backlog management and estimation

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field
• 5 – 7 years’ experience as Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or Product Owner with agile teams
• At least three years of agile coaching in large delivery organizations
• Extensive experience leading teams using agile methodologies
• At least 3 years of experience working with scaled agile frameworks (SAFe, Less, DAD Spotify)
• Certified Agile Coach, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or similar
• Extensive experience working with agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, TDD, and BDD
• Professional experience and knowledge of the Telecommunications industry strongly preferred
