Fluent knowledge of English;

Experience in Finance in a resort at a remote / island location

The position is for Diamonds Mapenzi Beach resort in Zanzibar, Tanzania.
Maintenance Supervisor in Zanzibar is solely responsible for the Maintenance department of the resort making sure that resort facilities and equipment are well maintained and preventive maintenance is done timely and properly.
Maintenance Supervisor is in charge of the Maintenance team including recruitment, wellbeing, training, motivation and discipline of the employees.
REQUIREMENTS
Maintenance Supervisor should have:
– Technical education;
– 4-5 years experience in the role of Maintenance/ Engineering Supervisor;
– International experience (resort experience and remote locations are an advantage);
– Team leadership experience;
– Excellent knowledge in all maintenance spheres.

Description: We are looking for an experienced Chief Accountant to assist Financial Controller to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.
Responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures.
A successful Senior accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. The ideal candidate has also experience collaborating and/or managing a team of accountants and junior accountants. Senior accountant duties also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, chief or senior accountant
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process

Head Chef

DESCRIPTION
The position of Head Chef is for the Diamonds Mequfi Beach resort in Mequfi, Mozambique.
The Head Chef is responsible for smooth running of Main Kitchen serving 3 restaurants and 2 bars and Staff Kitchen:
– Revising and adjusting menus;
– Providing personalised culinary experiences for the guests;
– Training and developing culinary team;
– Preparing and updating SOP’s, recipes and manuals;
– Controlling food cost;
– Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
REQUIREMENTS
Head Chef is required to:
– Have knowledge and skills in a la carte: Asian and Continental cuisines;
– Previous experience as a Sous Chef / Chef de Cuisine / Head Chef in remote location;
– Knowledge of English is compulsory, Portuguese is an advantage;
– Creative mind, able to find new solutions in different situations benefit
