The
Regional Manager‘s office TANROADS-Kigoma, on behalf of the Chief
Executive TANROADS, intends to recruit suitable qualified and competent
Tanzanian to fill the following vacancies on specific duties within the
regional on renewable contract terms. Successful applicants must be
ready to the workforce on assigned office workforce accordingly. Only
successful applicants will be notified to attend the interview at their
own cost at Kigoma town. JOB TITLE: OFFICE ATTENDANT (ONE) 1 POST
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Holder of form four Certificates,
- Must be fluent in both written and spoken Swahili and English
- Must be computer literate

JOB TITLE: WEIGHBRIDGE OPERATOR-(THREE) 3 POSTS
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- The job holder must have Ordinary Diploma in Civil/Highway Engineering OR Full Technician Certificate (FTC), from any recognised academic Institution.
- Must have form four certificate with not less than pass in mathematics subject.
- Must be computer
- Must be fluent in both written and spoken Swahili and English Language.
- Age limit not above 35 years.
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enforcing Road Traffic Axle LOAD Control by the use of weighbridge scale devices.
- Weigh Motor vehicle mass (GVM)>3.5000Kg on public
- Imposing road damage fee on the sport for overloaded vehicle.
- Measuring physical dimension of motor vehicle s or any other load being carried on the motor vehicle for providing evidences to transporters in case of non compliance with vehicle dimension limits.
- For track carrying abnormal load with special permit, the weighbridge operator shall ascertain compliance to the permit. Any discrepancy should be reported to the weighbridge In-Charge for appropriate action.
- Record all necessary particular regarding the motor vehicle being
- Observe good customer care, dignity, integrity and strict compliance with laid down day to day procedure.
- Reporting all matters on Axle Load Control to the weighbridge Shift In
- Perform other duties as maybe assigned from time to time by the supervisor
JOB TITLE: MOTOR VEHICLE MECHANICS TECHNICIAN CUM DRIVER (ONE) 1 POST
KEY QUALIFICATION
- Trade test grade one from VETA or CBET/CBA Level III in Motor Vehicle mechanics
- Holder of form four Certificates
- Driving licence class C
- At least ten years working experiences on similar
- Must be Tanzanian citizen
- Age limit not above 40
- Must be computer
- Fluent in both Swahili and English
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out repairs and maintenance of vehicles according to mechanical workshop standard and procedure.
- Carry out the cleanliness of wording tools/ equipment and workshop premises.
- Open maintain job cards for mechanical works records.
