Kariakoo Markets Corporation is an autonomous Government Institution established under the Kariakoo Markets Corporation Act No. 36 of 1974 (Revised by the Act No. 16 of 1985, to manage and control the Kariakoo Markets and establish and manage other markets in the City of Dar Es Salaam.
Administratively the Kariakoo Markets Corporation is under the President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government. The Corporation therefore invites applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to fill the following vacant job positions:

STATISTICIAN -1 POST
Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect data for various businesses at KMC.
• To process for management various data needed to answer specific questions or issues with regard to crops at the market and/or price.
• Apply statistical theories and methods to solve business problems for use by the Management of Kariakoo Market.
• Handling all statistical data and processing of data requests from other stakeholders outside Kariakoo market.
• Design surveys or experiments for collecting data for use in various operations at KMC.
• Analyze and interpret data to help for organization decision making.
• Preparation of various statistical reports for use by the management.
• Performs any other duty as may be assigned by Supervisor. 

Preferred Qualifications
At least a Bachelor Degree in Statistics, Economics or related field from a recognized Institution and a relevant working experience of at least two (2) years from a reputable organization.
