Request for Expression of Interest
Designing Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Materials for Quality Standards for Rice and beans
Background
Rikolto in East Africa is part of the Rikolto International, an NGO which operates in seven regions in 18 different countries in Africa, Latin America, Asia and Europe. Rikolto envisions a world with production and consumption systems that allow poverty and hunger to be eradicated and that do not burden our planet. Rikolto is currently implementing a five-year Programme (2017-2021) funded by various donors. It is expected that this programme will contribute to a thriving agricultural sector, respectful of the environment and based on a family farmer model, which supports women and youth participation contributing to a more inclusive society. Rikolto’s strategy is directed towards structural changes in the agri-food system that unlock the farming potential of a critical mass of small holder farmers.
Rikolto requires a designer and developer of IEC materials to
design and print posters for the rice and beans East African Standards.
Proposed Tasks of the designer/ printer
- Design and print A-2 posters for rice and beans
- Design and print 43 cm x 21 cm beans brochures
- Submit concepts and designs of materials following the lines of the beans and rice IEC materials attached to this document
- Submit design/s which include soft copy/PDF version of draft/ graphics of the overall concept and scenario.
- Receive and incorporate feedback on design/s
- Submit print ready final draft
- Provide copyrights of all IEC materials to Rikolto and its partners
Expected Outputs and Reporting
- Draft design/s which include soft copy/PDF version of draft/ graphics of the overall concept and scenario for comments and feedback.
- Print ready final design/s which include soft copy/PDF version of draft/ graphics
- Printing of several copies as determined by Rikolto
The process and timelines are as follows
- Submission of quotation by 21st September 2018
- Submission of final documents by 10th October 2018
