JOB VACANCIES

India – Tanzania Centre of Excellence in Information Communication Technology (ITCoEICT) invites applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to be considered for immediate employment to fill the following vacant posts:
(a) Departments
1. ITCoEICT
Position - Computer Programmer II
Position - Computer Artisan II
(b) Qualifications and Experience:
i. Computer Programmer II – A holder of Bachelor’s degree in Computer science/Computer engineering or related field from recognized institution/University plus one year experience in web and software development, Demonstrated knowledge of web technologies, such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript, Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively, Demonstrated understanding of projects from the perspective of both client and business.
ii. Computer Artisan II - Holder of computer certificates/IT Fundis plus, Form IV Certificate with credit passes in English, Kiswahili and Mathematics from recognized Institution.

1. COMPUTER PROGRAMMER II
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 Reviewing current systems.
 Presenting ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals.
 Working closely with analysts, designers and staff.
 Producing detailed specifications and writing the program codes.
 Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live.
 Preparation of training manuals for users.
 Maintaining the systems once they are up and running.
 Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

REMUNERATION
Attractive remuneration package in accordance with the Institution’s salary

2. COMPUTER ARTISAN II
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 Performs routine specified tasks that demand higher technical skills under
supervision,
 Keep the work place tidy.
 Collects and takes care of working tools.
 Carries out minor repairs and maintenance.
 Reports maintenance problems problems to senior staff.
 Assists in operational repair of machinery, facilities, building and
infrastructure.
 Performs specified craft jobs under close supervision.
 Takes care of tools and equipment.
 Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor

REMUNERATION
Attractive remuneration package in accordance with the Institution’s salary
PGSS 3/1

3. TERMS OF SERVICE:
Specified Period.

4. REMUNERATION
