Tailors and Sewing Teachers Volunteer Opportunities Mbeya | Deadline: 31 July, 2018
Location: Mbeya Mjini MbeyaDescription: We are looking to fill multiple positions for tailors and sewing instructors at our exciting and booming foundation. Vacancies are to be filled immediately. We are seeking applicants competent in design, fittings, familiarity with popular designs, skilled in hand sewing and use of manual sewing machines and various kinds of fabric. We also seek applicants capable of basic repairs and troubleshooting.
Applicants with any previous teaching experience should highlight these skills, including experience teaching vulnerable groups. Applicants who are VETA qualified and bilingual are especially desired. Other skills in basketry, rug-making and Batik should also be referred to in your application if relevant. The position is in Block T and lunch is provided.

She Can Foundation is a not-for-profit organization without a religious or political agenda. Our priority is promoting the economic and legal independence of marginalized women in Mbeya and the surrounding region. We work for women in the Southern Highlands of Tanzania who are poor; single-mothers; victims of gender-based violence and who have been unable to complete their formal education. We provide skills training for women to build businesses in communities; teach business development and support of the creation of community banking groups. We also provide legal education to men and women and offer a mobile legal service as well as a community based law clinic.
