Overview: Karanga Leather Industries Company Limited (KLICL) was established in
June, 2017 for the purpose of developing and operationalization of the
leather industry at Karanga Area, in Moshi Municipality, Kilimanjaro
Region. The Company is jointly owned by PPF Pensions Fund and Prisons
Corporation Sole (PCS). The Company intends to hire qualified people to
all the following vacant positions in the organization structure;POSITION: LEGAL OFFICER (1 POSITION)
REPORT TO: MANAGING DIRECTOR
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To prepare and assess the Company policies so as to ensure that they safeguard the interest of the Company
- To conduct official searches with the Registrar of Companies and land registry as and when required
- To increase efficiency in submission and collection of court documents
- To timely prepare legal documents
- To prepare mortgage documents
- To keep track of all the agreements entered into the industry so that they are up to date
- To carry out any other lawful work related duties as assigned by supervisor
COMPETENCIES:
- Good knowledge of the human rights system;
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prepare legal submissions, opinions, and motions; Concentration, accuracy, and working under minimum supervision;
- Respect for confidentiality and good public relations;
- Capacity to manage a multicultural team;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure in a multi-cultural environment;
- Good planning, managing, and organizational skills;
- Computer literacy.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Candidates must have a minimum of a University degree in Law.
- At least three years of working experience in relevant field
- Fluent in both Kiswahili and English
Duty station will be in Moshi Municipality, Kilimanjaro Region
