OverviewThe Legal Service Facility (LSF) was originally established in 2011 as a sub-component of the Tanzania Governance Support Programme 2011-2015, a bilateral agreement between the Governments of Tanzania and Denmark with the objective to support legal aid and paralegal Service Provision in Tanzania. In 2013 LSF was registered as a non-profit Company Limited by Guarantee. Currently, LSF manages a basket fund of around US $ 25 million for the period 2016-2021, to which the present main contributors are DANIDA and DFID/UKAID.
LSF operates in Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar and in its 2016-2021 Strategic approach aims to increase accessibility of legal aid Services, to promote legally empowered communities in particular for women, to create a conducive environment for legal aid and legal empowerment and to contribute to the institutional sustainability of legal aid.

Responsibilities
As the CEO, you will drive LSF through the next stage of their Strategie and operational development. You will also bring a business and results orientation to the LSF, an innovational and inspirational attitude toward leadership, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to affect change.
- Design and implement the business strategy and manage operational activities.
- Accountability to voluntary Board and on the overall performance of the Organization.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of best practice and Service delivery.
- Proactively identify opportunities for expansion and diversification.
Skills Required
You have extensive experience in delivering measurable results in an executive level role in either a corporate or non-profit Organization and will idealy have reported directly to the Board. You have a proven track record in:
- Driving organizational and culture change.
- Positioning and brand development through networking.
- Financial compliance and regulatory requirement.
- Commitments to social justice and values.
A market competitive package is set for the qualified profile, and the expected date to Start this role is 1st June 2019.
