Incumbent serves as the Coordinator for the Bodyguard Unit consisting of 12 host nation police tasked with executing protective security operations for the Chief of Mission, and other designated officials. The incumbent provides advice and recommendations to RSO based on analysis of the security environment to include route analysis, site advances and threat reporting of the Bodyguard Unit. Incumbent trains Bodyguard Unit members, establishes/maintains relationships with external contacts, and accounts for supplies. Position oversees 12 host nation police bodyguards. Under direct supervision of the ARSO, No supervisory responsibility.
