Job Descriptions
Main purpose of the Job:
Will have overall responsibility of managing, planning, and directing the processing of meat and processed meat products.
Will manage the production of meat products safely and consistently within quality specifications and price parameters.
Will control the activities of the meat processing team members to meet production needs and ensure efficient operation of their assigned area of responsibility.
Will continual interaction with abattoir, sales team and suppliers.
Required Knowledge and Skills
-Qualified butcher/block man or similar qualification
-Minimum of 8-10 experience in meat processing, abattoir and butchery practices, of which at least 3 years is at supervisory level
-Proven people management skills
-Detailed knowledge about applicable international standards in food health, safety, and quality management practices.
-High degree of computer numeracy and literacy
