1.0KIBAHA EDUCATION CENTRE (KEC)
Kibaha Education Centre is a Multi-purpose Educational Institution that is located in Coast Region (Tumbi area) about 40 kilometres (24miles) West of Dar es Salaam along Morogoro Road. This Centre started in 1963, sponsored by five countries –The then Tanganyika Government on one hand and the Government of four Nordic Countries on the other hand i.e. Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. The Centre was known as the ‘Nordic Tanganyika Project’ until 1970 when the four Nordic Countries handed it over to Tanzania Government. The Nordic Tanganyika project then became Kibaha Education Centre (KEC) as per establishment Act No. 17 of 1969. The overall objective of the Centre as originally conceived was, through its institutions, to launch a three frontal attack on the problems of Poverty, Ignorance and diseases collectively named as main development enemies.

1.1 DRIVERS' INSTRUCTOR II - 1 POST
1.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(i) Prepares learning resources
(ii) Assumes leadership roles and instructs theory and application of automobile driving skills.
(iii) Demonstrates and explains handling of automobile in emergencies, driving techniques, and mechanical operation of automobile.
(iv) Perform any other duties related to work as assigned by a supervisor.

1.1.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Form IV/VI , with a certificate in Driver’s Instructor plus class ‘E’ or ‘C’ driving license.

1.2 SANITARY HAND II – 1 POST
1.2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(i) Clear sewage lagoons;
(ii) Clean blocked sewage lines, toilets, kitchen sinks etc;
(iii) Order chemicals and disinfectants and sanitary equipment;
(iv) Administer proper use of chemicals and disinfectants;
(v) Report any damage or faults in the sanitary system to the authorities and
(vi) Perform any other duties related to his or her work as may be assigned by supervisor.

1.3 TEACHER GRADE II – 1 POST
1.3.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(i) Prepare materials and lesson plans and implement activities for instruction
(ii) Observe and evaluate, pupils’ academic performance, behavior and social development;
(iii) Mark students examinations;
(iv) Assess the progress results of the pupils;
(v) Keep and maintain pupils performance record;
(vi) Perform and other duties and responsibilities: related to his/her work as assigned by his/her supervisor.

1.3.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Form IV certificate and have attended and passed a two (2) years Teachers Education Course in a recognized Teacher’s training institution.

2.0 THE MWALIMU NYERERE MEMORIAL ACADEMY (MNMA)
The Mwalimu Nyerere Memorial Academy is initially a product of Kivukoni College. In February, 1958 the National Conference of TANU which was held in Tabora passed a Resolution to establish a college for adults in the lines of Ruskin College in Oxford. The College was to be a tool for spreading understanding of social, political and economic problems facing underdeveloped countries such as Tanganyika among people who were likely to become leaders in newly independent country but who did not have qualifications necessary to enter educational institutions. The Adult College was formally established on 29th July, 1961 as a private company under Companies Ordinance (Cap 212).

2.5 REGISTRAR - 1 POST – RE ADVERTISED
2.5.1 LOCATION: ZANZIBAR CAMPUS
2.5.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(i) Head of Administration, Planning and Finance matters;
(ii) Assist the Principal in all financial, Human Resources and Administrative matters of the Campus;
(iii) Conduct review of existing and develop new physical, financial, accounting, Human Resources and administrative programmes based on established needs of the Campus;
(iv) Responsible for manpower planning and development of Campus employees;
(v) Plan and control all financial and accounting operations of the Campus;
(vi)Supervise employees of the Campus in accordance with laid down rules and regulations;
(vii) Coordinate preparation of budget of the Campus;
(viii) Develop staff training programme of the Campus;

PhD Degree either in Human Resource, Management,Public Administration or Business Administration. Be a person with at least eight years (8) of outstanding academic and administrative experience and capability in the area of technical education and training.

3.0 COLLEGE OF BUSINESS EDUCATION (CBE)
The College of Business Education was established by Act of Parliament, Act No. 31 of 1965. It is a Public Higher Learning Institution, which provides Teaching, Research and Consultancy Services in the fields of Accountancy, Procurement & Supplies, Marketing Management, Legal and Industrial Metrology, ICT, General Management and other business related disciplines.

3.1 ASSISTANT LECTURER (LEGAL AND INDUSTRIAL METROLOGY) – 1 POST
3.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(i) Teaches up to NTA level 8 (Bachelor’s Degree);
(ii)Prepares learning resources for tutorial exercises;
(iii) Conducts research, seminars and case studies;
(iv)Carries out consultancy and community services under supervision;
(v) Supervise students projects;
(vi)Prepare teaching manual; and
(vii) Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

3.1.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master’s Degree in any of the following fields; Production engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering, Industrial Metrology or standardization with a GPA of 4.0 or an average of B+, and should have a minimum GPA of 3.8 at undergraduate level. Applicants with Master’s Degree in Legal and Industrial Metrology are highly encouraged to apply.

3.1.3 REMUNERATION

3.2 ASSISTANT LECTURER (PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLIES MANAGEMENT) – 1 POST
3.2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Master’s Degree in Procurement and Supplies Management with a GPA of 4.0 or average of B+, and should have a minimum GPA of 3.8 at undergraduate level.

3.3 ASSISTANT LECTURER (COMPUTER SCIENCE/COMPUTER
ENGINEERING/INFORMATICS OR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY) - 1 POST - RE ADVERTISED

(i) Teach up to NTA level 8 (Bachelor’s Degree);

Master’s Degree either in Computer science/Computer engineering/Informatics or Information Technology with a GPA of 4.0 or average of B+, and should have a minimum GPA of 3.8 at undergraduate level. Applicants must demonstrate skills in programming.

4.0 THE GEOLOGICAL SURVEY OF TANZANIA (GST)
The Geological Survey of Tanzania (GST) was established as a Government Executive Agency in October 2005 under The Executive Agency Act No. 30, [CAP 245] of 1997, establishment order, 2005, Government notice no: 418 published on 9/12/2005. GST is managed by a Chief Executive (CE), appointed by the Minister for Energy and Minerals, for a term not exceeding five (5) years. The CE is answerable to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy and Minerals and performs all the executive functions of GST. The Permanent Secretary is responsible for policy and the strategic management of GST and oversees the interest of the ministry and the government in general. There is a Ministerial Advisory Board (MAB) which advises the Minister on matters pertaining to efficient and effective performance and developments of GST.

4.1 TECHNICIAN II (MINERAL LABORATORY) - 2 POSTS – RE ADVERTISED
4.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(i) Supervising Assistant Technicians (Mineral Laboratory);
(ii) Preparing reagents and apparatus for analytical, petrography and mineral processing works;
(iii) Receiving samples from clients;
(iv)Conducting micrometric and gravimetric analysis;
(v) Keeping in good custody the laboratory equipment;
(vi)Receiving and stores laboratory chemicals/reagents;
(vii) Assisting in preparing technical reports on works done;
(viii)Measuring chemical, physical and optical properties of rocks and minerals;
(ix)Preparing samples for chemical, pectrographic, mineralogical and mineral processing studies;

Full Technician Certificate (FTC) or Ordinary Diploma in Mineral Laboratory from a recognized institution.

5.0 THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORT (NIT)
The National Institute of Transport (NIT) was established by the National Institute of Transport Act, Cap 187 R.E 2002. It is fully accredited by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) with the Certificate of Registration number REG/EOS/009 of 2002.

5.1 ASSISTANT LECTURER (MARINE OR MECHANICAL ENGINEERING ) - 1 POST – RE ADVERTISED
5.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

5.2 TUTORIAL ASSISTANT (AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING) - 1 POST – RE ADVERTISED

6.0 NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR MEDICAL RESEARCH (NIMR)
The National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) is the largest public health research institution in Tanzania, established by the Parliament Act No. 23 of 1979 as a Parastatal organization under the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. NIMR’s core function is to generate scientific information required in the development of better methods and techniques of enhancing disease management, prevention and control in the country. 

6.1 HEALTH LABORATORY ASSISTANT GRADE II – 2 POSTS – RE ADVERTISED
6.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(i) Assist in the collection of laboratory samples for analysis;
(ii) Perform preliminary laboratory tests;
(iii) Responsible for assisting laboratory technologists in performing their routine duties;
(iv) Record laboratory test in the laboratory log book;
(v) Dispose laboratory wastes accordingly;
(vi) Prepare equipment’s for laboratory tests;
(vii) Clean laboratory apparatus;
(viii) Ensure laboratory samples are kept safely;
(ix) Use interpersonal skills to lab customers and promote success of team members;
(x) Participate in qc/qa in lab tests, takes corrective action, and notifies others of changes;
(xi) Comply with laboratory safety procedures, possessing adequate knowledge of instrumentation, theory, and application of new and existing tests;
(xii) Perform preventative maintenance procedures in laboratory instrumentation;
(xiii)Participate actively in the sectional, departmental and other relevant meetings that convened at the working place;
(xiv) Ensure the working place is always tidy; and
(xv) Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

6.1.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Form Four or Form Six (IV or VI) with at least two Principal pass in science subjects or credit pass in any three science subjects and has successful passed Medical Laboratory Science Certificate.

6.1.3 REMUNERATION

6.2 DRIVER GRADE II – 3 POSTS – RE ADVERTISED
6.2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(i) Monitor and report expiration and renewal of the vehicles insurance and his or her licence,
(ii) Inspect the vehicles for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips and submit a written report on the condition,
(iii) Report all accidents and the related incidences encountered,
(iv)Maintain a register for regular maintenance,
(v) Drive all types of NIMR vehicles,
(vi)Ensure that all vehicles and accessories are in good conditions,
(vii) Undertake minor repairs,
(viii)Ensure that vehicles are serviced regularly,
(ix)Record in the Log Book all trips/ journeys made,
(x) Ensure vehicle is clean all the time,
(xi)Perform any other related duties as assigned.

6.2.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Form Four National Examination Certificate with Class C valid driving Licence, Trade Test Grade II and a clean record in driving for at least three (3) years.

6.2.3 REMUNERATION

7.0 PUBLIC PROCUREMENT APPEALS AUTHORITY (PPAA)
The Public Procurement Appeals Authority commonly referred to as the PPAA was initially established in 2004 under the former Public Procurement Act No.3 of 2001(Repealed and replaced by the Public Procurement Act No 21 of 2004) (Cap 410). The recently enacted Public Procurement Act No 7 of 2011 has re-established the PPAA as an independent Appeals Authority under Section 88.

7.1 DRIVER GRADE II – 1 POST
7.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(i) Driving the Authority’s vehicles as to approved destinations and in accordance with traffic regulations,
(ii) Checking to ensure that the vehicle is in proper working order by ensuring that things like brakes, radiator, tyres, are in good order and that the vehicle is kept in clean condition,
(iii) Inspecting vehicles for defects before and after trips and submitting report indicating vehicle condition to the Administration officer,

(iv)Maintaining motor vehicle log books according to laid down regulations,
(v) Reporting promptly any accidents or incidents involving the vehicle to the supervisor and to the traffic police where necessary,
(vi)Checking to ensure that there is vehicle security at all times,
(vii) Collection and delivery of mail for the Authority,
(viii)Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

7.1.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Form Four (IV) Secondary Education with Passes in Kiswahili and English with a valid
Class C Driving Licence and Working experience of not less than four (4) years without
causing an accident. Possession of Trade Test Grade II/ Drivers Grade II Certificate
from a recognized institution such as National Institute of Transport or Vocational
Education and Training Authority (VETA) will be an added advantage.

7.1.3 REMUNERATION

8.0 TANZANIA FORESTRY RESEARCH INSTITUTE (TAFORI)
Tanzania Forestry Research Institute (TAFORI) is a Parastatal Organization under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, established by act No.5 of 1980 with a broad mandate of Conducting and Coordinating Research in all aspects of Forest Production and Utilization. TAFORI with its Headquarters at Kingolwira in Morogoro Municipality has Seven Research Centres located at: - Kibaha, Lushoto, Moshi, Dodoma, Tabora, Malya and Mufindi.

8.1 RESEARCH OFFICER GRADE II – 3 POSTS - RE - ADVERTISED
8.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(i) Assist in setting up experiments, data collection and analysis;
(ii) Search for relevant literature required and writing research reports;
(iii) Collect forestry research data;
(iv) Supervise maintenance of research trial plots;
(v) Work on specific projects more independently;

(vi) Supervise Laboratory Technicians;
(vii) Assist in data collection and analysis;

8.1.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master’s Degree in Forestry from a recognized University and a Bachelor Degree in Forestry who attained a minimum of an Upper Second Class Honours degree at undergraduate level. Must possess knowledge in Computer programs applicable in research data processing and analysis.

8.1.3 REMUNERATION

9.0 MUHIMBILI UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH AND ALLIED SCIENCES (MUHAS)
The Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) started as the Dar es Salaam Medical School in 1963. The school then transformed into the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Dar es salaam that in 1991 was upgraded and became a college–the Muhimbili University College of Health Sciences (MUCHS). In 1996, the Faculty of Medicine that was upgraded to a constituent College of the University of Dar es Salaam, with the aim of nurturing it to a full-fledged university later on was merged with the Muhimbili hospital to create the Muhimbili Medical Centre (MMC). 

Over the years MUCHS made significant achievements in terms of increased student enrollment and development of several new academic programmes. The Parliament Act No. 9 of 1991 that established MUCHS was repealed in 2005 through the universities Act No. 7 of 2005. Subsequently, in 2007 Article 1 of the Charter of Incorporation established MUHAS in line with the Universities Act No 7 of 2005.

The objectives of the University are the advancement of knowledge, diffusion and extension of technology and learning, the provision of higher education and research and, so far as is consistent with those objectives, the nurturing of the intellectual, aesthetic, social and moral growth of the students at the University. MUHAS has two campuses; Muhimbili Campus and Mloganzila Campus.

9.1 AUDIOMETRIST II – 1 POST - RE ADVERTISED
9.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(i) Conduct audiometric analysis;
(ii) Assist in prescribing audio prescriptions;

9.2 AUDIOLOGIST II – 2 POSTS - RE ADVERTISED
9.2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(i) Carryout audiometric therapy on patients with audio pathology;
(ii) Maintain an accurate record of the audiometric services provided to patients;
(iii) Compile case reports of each patient for monitoring treatment progress;
(iv)Take care of equipments in the Unit/department and report any malfunctions.;
(v) Interview relatives and gather information that can assist in the treatment of patients;
(vi)Offer technical guidance and support to subordinates; and
(vii) Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by superior from time to time.

9.2.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

10.0 LOCAL GOVERNMENT TRAINING INSTITUTE (LGTI)
The Local Government Training Institute (LGTI) is a higher learning Institution under the President’s Office, Regional Administration and Local Government (PORALG). The Institute was established by the Act of Parliament No. 26 of 1994, as a body corporate, to provide training, research, advisory and consultancy services in the fields of Local Government Finance, Administration and Management. As such, the Institute falls under the subject sector of Business and Management.

10.1 ESTATE MANAGER – 1 POST - RE-ADVERTISED
10.1.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Prepare plans and budgets for the estate management activities;
ii. Responsible for advising all estate works pertaining to the maintenance of buildings, infrastructure, internal and external built areas, as well as keeping open and sports grounds;
iii. Take care of all lands of the Institute, maintaining the boundaries, following up all renters and developers within the Institute’s compounds;
iv. Supervises the Section staff and ensures the proper use of all tools and equipment of the Institute;
v. Initiate and prepare all required drawings for refurbishment, and maintenance of facilities, infrastructure, and buildings;
vi. Ensure the environments and facilities of the Institute including machinery,
vehicles, utilities, buildings and landscape are well kept;
vii. Ensure all properties of the Institute are registered and relevant property documents are properly kept;
viii. Prepare and submit to relevant authorities periodic reports of the section; and
ix. Performs other duties assigned by the LGTI management.

10.1.2 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master’s Degree either in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Economics, or Quantity Surveying plus the working experience of eight (8) years of which three (3) years should be in Managerial Position.
