Job Title : MFS, Segmentation & Pricing Specialist (Grade11)
JOB PURPOSE
Using data analytics, obtain, analyze and interpret the performance data for the MFS Category. Understand the consumer base and their consumption patterns of current products and/or services. Propose strategic/tactical actions to increase relevance of MFS.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
-Analyze user requirements and, based on findings, design functional specifications for BI front-end applications and also support the creation and maintenance of complete KPI dashboards and reporting systems to develop an action plan to improve commercial results.
-Responsible for the quality, structure, management of data and information, streamlining of processes regarding data flow and data quality to improve data accuracy, visibility, viability and value within the MFS category
-Work hand in hand with the senior managers to analyse revenues, traffic, users and other specified KPIs to understand & anticipate potential deviations & opportunities
-Provide predictive tools and tracking mechanisms for product owners and category managers to track and monitor performance
-To understand patterns and identify possible commonalities among users with similar trends or behaviours and based on this create customer segments for proper targeted commercial activities and promotions
-To monitor evolution of consumption patterns and interaction and migration of customers across segments and propose solutions to optimize ARPU and increase penetration
-Responsible for MFS pricing of all core products.
-Using data analytics, revising existing tariffs and identify and propose potential opportunities to optimize ARPU and improve GM
-Monitoring competition pricing activities, assess MFS price position in the market and in case of price change requirement, support the price change procedure

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE
-2+ years’ experience in a data or business analytics role
Comprehensive data warehouse analysis and design experience, with full knowledge of data warehouse
methodologies and data modeling
-Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
-Ability to conceive or understand business ideas/concepts and translate them into business value
-Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
-Proactive, organized and customer oriented person.
-Knowledge on telecom business is a distinctive advantage.
-Experience in several budgeting, planning and forecasting tools like P&L, GM, Ebitda, etc.
-Excellent communications skills

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
-Bachelor Degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field
-Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Commerce, Marketing or a related field is an added distinct advantage
-Strong skills in EXCEL and SQL Queries
-Knowledge in R or Python is an added distinct advantage
