VALUE CHAIN DEVELOPMENT AND NUTRITION MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY

The Value Chain Development & Nutrition Manager (VCNM) for Value Chain and Nutrition will be at the cutting edge of CARE’s programming on agriculture value chains and it is essential that s/he has the necessary basic managerial and technical skills to deliver effectively on the Value chain development and Nutrition. The VCNM will be responsible for successfully planning and executing component initiatives under the umbrella of KNK Project under sustainable Agriculture and Land Management Unit (SALAMA) of CARE in Tanzania. Developing and managing partnerships with private entities, (CSO’s) and local government authorities is essential.
The VCNM is vested the responsibility for planning, organizing, executing, monitoring, evaluation, learning and reporting) of the Value Chain and Nutrition Component under KNK with an oversight from the PC but in liaison with Partnership Development Manager for the entire Kukua Ni Kujifunza (KNK) Project. Ensures establishment of a consortium of value chain actors and their sound engagement including provision of leadership to consortium to be able to deliver. This position will also establish, and strengthen relationship with other collaborators including the government to support nutrition initiatives.
The Value Chain Development and Nutrition Manager reports directly to the Program Coordinator – for Iringa Programs. S(he) is first of all responsible and accountable to the Team to provide expert knowledge in Value Chain Development and Nutrition within and through the team. S/he is expected to maintain effective working relationships with other CARE staff working with other program initiatives and impact groups.

• Develop marketing strategies for the key Value Chains in KNK, in conjunction with the provision of effective business management and marketing skills program to actors

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agriculture economics/ Business Development, Natural resources management; Climate change, Environment, Nutrition or equivalent education and working experience (content)

TECHNICAL VOCATIONAL EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING COORDINATOR
JOB SUMMARY
CARE Tanzania in collaboration with VETA has a project to support youth and job seekers to develop enhanced agricultural, market driven skills and knowledge for improved employability, income generation and resilience. The Tajirika na Kilimo Project is designed to strengthen the quality of training and enterprise development opportunities that address agriculture needs for Tanzania’s rural communities—particularly women and girls. 2,600 trainees will complete training. The three outcome areas are: Increased number of people complete documented and transferable TVET training; improved linkage between businesses and TVET institute; TVET institutional development. Prioritizing Women’s Economic Empowerment and youth employment, the four-year project will strengthen rural communities’ engagement in the development of Tanzania’s agriculture sector, through strengthened enterprise development, skills, and business linkages
The TVET Coordinator will liaise and coordinate all matters regarding smooth implementation of the project, including planning, supervising/monitoring and reporting. TVET coordinator will be primarily responsible to ensure proper coordination between field and office activities and manage program staff for the project. Leading role in capacity development of project teams, partners and consortium members and other actors to ensure implementation of the innovative vocational skills and employment programme through agricultural and enterprise based (apprenticeship arrangements) training with linkage to formal institutions. The TVET coordinator will provide adequate technical support to the teams to ensure technical quality throughout the program implementation in Morogoro in coordination with TVET Officers and other head office staff.
The TVET Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Technical Unit. S/he is expected to maintain effective working relationships with other CARE staff working with other program initiatives and impact groups

FUND RAISING COORDINATOR
JOB SUMMARY

CARE Tanzania is recruiting for the role of Fundraising Coordinator, which will manage fundraising efforts, ensuring the delivery of an agreed target organizational budget in line with the organizational strategy. As the team progresses towards achieving the in-country Wezesha Strategy (2014 - 2020), East, Central and Southern Africa (ECSA) Regional Impact Growth Strategy and CARE Global 2020 strategy, a measured, innovative, effective and timely approach is needed to business development. This will ensure our programmes are strategically aligned, we increase our impact by building on existing work, new opportunities are identified, developed and appropriately resourced, strategic partnerships are leveraged, and that CARE retains its position as a thought leader, innovator and multiplier of impact within Tanzania.
The primary function of the Fundraising Coordinator is to strategically raise funds (mobilize resources and develop proposal), initiate and manage donor relations, ensure high quality of program design, build capacity on fundraising and promote gender equality. The Fundraising Coordinator will be a member of the senior management team and contribute to the overall leadership of CARE in Tanzania, as well as participate as an proactive member of the regional resource mobilization committee.
The Fundraising Coordinator reports directly to the Country Director. S/he is expected to maintain effective working relationships with other CARE staff working in the country office. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage fundraising efforts and donor (both in country and across the CARE network) at country level including planning, managing and ensuring the delivery of an agreed target organizational budget.
• Develop and roll out donor engagement strategies and support the Country Director and Assistant Country Director-Program in managing donor and potential donor relations
• Lead on fundraising strategy and implementation for CARE-TZ
• Build capacity of the CARE-TZ team on fundraising, engage with donors, and support proposal development with partners.
Reporting to the Country Director, she/he will also work closely with the Knowledge Sharing and Learning Manager to facilitate the documentation of promising practices and lessons learned in programme development, grant management and funds acquisition.
