help2kids is looking for a motivated Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator. Gain great experience working with a small NGO in Tanzania!

help2kids is a young, dynamic Swiss-based NGO operating in Africa. Our objective is to give some of the most vulnerable children in Tanzania and Malawi access to the basic necessities that all children deserve; education, food, healthcare, shelter, and a loving family environment so that they can break out of the cycle of poverty and live happy, productive lives. 

We are currently seeking a Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator to manage our growing marketing and fundraising needs for our projects in Tanzania and Malawi. This is a great position for someone who is passionate about improving children's lives, social media savvy, has some fundraising experience, a good writer /editor, and wants to be part of an international team.

Marketing (45%)
o Planning and posting regular social media updates (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) Tanzania and Malawi
o Lead on and develop communication and marketing plan for help2kids, including the development of materials and campaigns including the quarterly report, email campaigns and regular blog posting
o Update and improve website content (English and German)
o Advertise and update content about our programs on various volunteer platforms
o Photo and video content
o Responsible for digital and print marketing/promotional material (banners, postcards, flyers, etc.)  
o Coordinating marketing efforts between Tanzania and Malawi
o Working together with Field Managers in Tanzania and Malawi and Head Office in Switzerland on specific cross border and international marketing projects

Fundraising (50%) 
o Identify and cultivate relationships with potential new donors
o Work closely with the international fundraising team to contribute to fundraising and partnership efforts
o Researching and writing fundraising proposals for all Projects, as well as managing donor database
o Coordinating fundraising team in Tanzania and providing support
o Actively seeking out CSR partnerships both in Tanzania and internationally. 
o Develop and monitor implementation of fundraising strategies and plans 
o Work with management team in Tanzania to collect relevant information for donor reports

Administration and Coordination (5%)
o Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual fundraising and marketing updates for review by the management team / HO in Switzerland
o Participate in and contribute to management Team meetings 
o Support management team with their responsibilities, including acting as cover whilst members are on leave
o Other marketing and fundraising tasks, as requested

Person Specification: 
Things we are looking for in the ideal candidate:
• Fluency in English (Additional languages - Swahili and German considered great advantage in this position)
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English 
• Ability to work with limited resources in a sometimes challenging environment
• Experience with Photography and using a DSLR camera
• Proficiency working with basic web programs/ CMS Wordpress, and must be able to use Microsoft Office, Photoshop, and InDesign
• Strong networking skills
• Work well under minimal supervision and be self-motivated
• Excellent organizational skills and time management skills 
• Proven ability to work under pressure, in a fast paced working environment 
• A passion for working with children and youth
• Willingness to participate in the children's lives in a positive way and set a good example by your behavior at all times
• Work well with team of local staff, international staff and volunteers
• Be willing to live in a dormitory at our guest house (www.friendlygecko.com) shared with volunteers (6 bed room)
• Commitment of at least one year
• Previous development experience preferred
• Must have the required documentation to allow you to legally work in the United Republic of Tanzania.
