Role overview
The ideal candidate for this post will be responsible for coordinating daily project administrative, data collection and support the Enhancing Employability through Vocational Training (EEVT) Project to deliver the desired outcomes, Also receive and support visitors/Volunteers (national and international) and guide and advise them per need.

Skills, qualifications and experience required
Bachelor's degree in Human resources, Business Administration, Marketing, mass communications or social science is required.
Project co-ordination - experience of project co-ordination. Time management skills. Strong organisation skills.
Self motivated, ability to use own initiative, flexibility.

Decision making - Sound judgement and the confidence to take independent action; a high degree of initiative and persistence combined with high levels of discretion and diplomacy.
Ability to analyse and synthesize complex information, use initiative in seeking solutions

Communication - Ability to build productive working relationships. Excellent interpersonal skills, working effectively with others, listening, understanding and

Allowance and accommodation
All volunteers have an allowance paid in local currency. The allowance meets reasonable living expenses in country, but will not be enough to send money home.

Role overview
The ideal person for this role is a young Tanzanian leader who enjoys planning and organising; has an eye for detail and problem solving; as well as a back ground or interest in research. In this role, you will take a lead ensuring the work of different VSO research volunteers (remote and in country) are harmonised and coordinated. You will be a focal point for contact for the research volunteers and responsible to follow-up proactively on agreed actions and timelines with accountable people. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced researcher volunteers both in conducting field work as well as analysing results. If you are passionate about making a positive change to for young people in Tanzania and leaving no social groups behind, you are the ideal candidate!

Skills, qualifications and experience required

• Minimum of bachelor degree in social science subjects or other relevant degree.

Experience:
• Able to demonstrate strengths in planning and organising
• Effective time management; self-motivated, ability to use own initiative; flexibility; sound judgement and the confidence to take the lead as required
• Previous experience in research and/or M&E preferred; alternatively an interest in research and M&E
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; Ability to communicate with different stakeholders on different levels within organisations and from different cultural back grounds
• Creativity and innovation in solving problems and implementing new ideas; strengths in analytical skills and strategic thinking.

Role overview
As a private sector engagement Adviser, you will mainly be involved with preparations of career fairs involving the private sectors, identifying new industries and companies to be part of private sector youth committee, coordinating the day-to-day operations of industry links with companies as well as the Vocational Training Authority (VETA), facilitating communications between industries and the project. Next to this, it will also be your responsibility to maintain and strengthen existing links with companies. In a cooperative manner with the line manager, the ministry of youth, labour, empowerment women and children and other volunteers, you will organise private sector youth committee meetings, provide them and joint partners with timely updates and help preparing career fair.
In the same collaboration, you try to convince industries to allow VTA students to their internships and possible jobs.

Skills, qualifications and experience required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in human resources, mass communications or social science;
Communication:
Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to vary communication content and style to suit audiences to inform, motivate and inspire.
Builds mutually beneficial alliances and networks at senior levels within and outside VSO and maintain a wide, influential network in the advisory committee and EEVT project partners
Analysis and creative problem-solving: proactive to deliver solutions to challenges, ability to identify the interest of advisory committee for improving the EEVT project.

• Flexibility – ability to be proactive in changing environment of working, business management, entrepreneurship is desirable, experienced on people management and ability to work in a multinationals with flexibilities of cultural differences.
