Zanzibar Malaria Surveillance Advisor – USAID Tanzania Malaria Surveillance and Monitoring
Position Overview

The USAID Tanzania Malaria Surveillance and Monitoring is aimed at supporting the Government of Tanzania (GOT) to reduce the burden of malaria and to move towards the long-term goal of malaria elimination.
(This position is only open to Tanzanian Nationals)

The Zanzibar Malaria Surveillance Advisor will provide technical, strategic advice and programmatic direction for the malaria surveillance and monitoring system development and implementation. The advisor will have a strong HMIS/DHIS2 knowledge and strong technical understanding of malaria surveillance systems with ability for capacity building within existing health systems.

Chief of Party – USAID Tanzania Malaria Surveillance and Monitoring
Position Overview
The USAID Tanzania Malaria Surveillance and Monitoring is aimed at supporting the Government of Tanzania (GOT) to reduce the burden of malaria and to move towards the long-term goal of malaria elimination.

The Chief of Party (COP) will be responsible for primarily engaging with USAID and Ministry of Health (MOH) in Tanzania. S/he will manage the grant, partner agreements, and financial management of the surveillance and monitoring activities. The Chief of Party should exhibit strong technical malaria knowledge. The COP will also be responsible for ensuring control and the overall responsiveness of technical assistance provided under contract.

Deputy Chief of Party – USAID Tanzania Malaria Surveillance and Monitoring
Position Overview
The USAID Tanzania Malaria Surveillance and Monitoring is aimed at supporting the Government of Tanzania (GOT) to reduce the burden of malaria and to move towards the long-term goal of malaria elimination.

The Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) directly reports to the COP in activity implementation and management. The DCOP will take leadership and oversight of the activity in the absence of the COP. This position is responsible for coordinating the various technical experts and aligns them to program activities.

Finance & Administration Director – USAID Tanzania Malaria Surveillance and Monitoring

Position Overview
The Finance and Administration Director is responsible for overseeing the finance and administrative functions of the program ensuring compliance with the award terms. The Finance and Administration Director will be responsible for management of all accounting, including sub-grants, and ensure financial operations are in compliance with USAID regulations. S/he will be responsible for ensuring that adequate financial management systems are in place and functioning.

Malaria Surveillance Lead – USAID Tanzania Malaria Surveillance and Monitoring
Position Overview
The Result 1 Lead will be responsible for all outcomes associated with Result 1 – Malaria Surveillance. This includes assisting with information technology; facilitating feedback and communication among national, district, and facility levels. In particular, they will communicate with the NMCP and ZAMEP to explore activities which will improve malaria surveillance in Tanzania.
