Overview
Farm for the future is the large 651 acre farm in Kilolo District. It is a regional development project run in cooperation with local authorities in the Iringa Region of Tanzania. The key focus is to deliver a commercially driven viable farm which will also provide vocational training in agriculture for youth local farmers and young single mothers to support the sustainability of growth of the farm into the future jobs will be created through food processing and opportunities that present themselves as the farm develops.
A client seeks to hire a qualified candidate for the position of a Farm Manager
Academic Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's Degree or Masters in Agriculture,
• Excellent computer Applications Skills
• Class C driving license
• 5 years experience in Farm Management with a documented track record of results achieved.
General Qualifications
• Male/female with Farm Management experience.
• Basic knowledge of managing Farm Finance.
• Knowledge and experience with farming Maize and other Grains.
• Good knowledge and experience of both Dairy and Beef Cattle Management
• Excellent People Management Skills with Proven ability in team building
• Highly motivated, Self driven with the ability to drive initiatives to achieve goals
• Have a dynamic approach to identifying new opportunities while adjusting existing farm practices to create efficiencies in production.
