Femina Hip is the one of the leading youth development organizations with a focus on social behavior change communication, access to information’s and advocacy, our client seeking applicant from qualified professional for the position of Head of programmes who will report directly to the Executive Director.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- to ensure the vision and mission, purpose, goals and objectives, outputs and policies set by executives director are fully implemented complied with and met
- to lead, develop, and manage Femina Programme Management team ensure programmes have optimum impact are cost effective and maintain high level of excellent, accountability, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation as per approved policies, systems, procedures and donors requirements
- overseeing design, programme, development, marketing, promoting, delivery, and quality of program, products and services ensuring that Femina has the necessary systems, resources and capacity for its efficient and effective operations
- participate in senior management forum to assist in shaping organization policies assist the EID in managing femina
- plan and facilitate annual review meeting and quarterly reviews
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- ensuring that professional staff team is established by developed as a staff training and development plan monitoring staff performance and supporting staff to reach their goals
- make sure that are competent staff onboard that can deliver quality identify talent and suggest new recruitment to the team to HR to ensure that we have the human resources we need to stay relevant get the job done . This include consultants, interns and volunteers
- facilitate management meeting to ensure all managers are on track/target
- assist in refining the Femina volunteer strategy ensuring its fit into the skills development programme of offering ex-Fema clubbers the opportunity to receive internship and mentorship at Femina as well as career coaching.
KEY SKILLS
- Solid skills in project design and project cycle management
- Experience in developing private sector relationship and alternative funding strategies beyond donor-driven funding
- Good education background graduate or diploma level
- A strong personal commitment to the values aims and approaches of the femina HIP
- Knowledge of learning and development and the ability to train and support staff
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English including exceptional networking and presentation skills at high level partner meeting and events
- Ability to communicate Cleary to deverse audience including staff management government official’s donor’s private sector partners
